All Hands, One Mission

Every Gift. Every Generation. Every Ministry.

Dear ICC Imara Family,

There are seasons when God calls His people not only to receive, but also to rise. Not only to be blessed, but also to become a blessing. Not only to attend, but to participate in what He is building.

As a church, we are entering a very important preaching series titled “All Hands, One Mission.” This series is a call to every member of our church family—children, youth, young adults, parents, professionals, seniors, new believers, and long-serving members—to prayerfully discover where God is inviting them to serve.

The work of God has never been carried by one person, one department, one age group, or one gifted few. From the days of Nehemiah, when families, leaders, priests, craftsmen, and ordinary people rebuilt the wall together, we learn that great Kingdom work is accomplished when everyone takes responsibility for their part.

Nehemiah 4:6 says, “So we rebuilt the wall… for the people worked with all their heart.” What a beautiful picture of the church: many hands, one heart, one mission, one God to glorify.

At ICC Imara, we believe that every person has a place in God’s house. Every gift matters. Every generation carries something valuable. The young bring energy, creativity, and courage. Adults bring strength, skill, and responsibility. Seniors bring wisdom, stability, and testimony. Children remind us of faith, joy, and the future God is preparing. No one is too young, too old, too new, too quiet, or too ordinary to be used by God.

Scripture reminds us in 1 Peter 4:10, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace.” This means ministry is not only for pastors, leaders, singers, ushers, teachers, or those who stand in front. Ministry is for every believer who has received grace and is willing to share that grace with others.

This series is therefore an invitation. It is an invitation to discover your gift. It is an invitation to find your place. It is an invitation to strengthen the Body of Christ. It is an invitation to serve God’s people with joy, humility, excellence, and faithfulness.

Some of you may already know where you are called to serve. Some may be waiting for a door to open. Some may feel unsure, unqualified, or even unseen. But I want to encourage you: “God does not only use the available because they are perfect; He perfects the available as they serve. When you place your gift in God’s hands, He uses it to bless lives, build His Church, and impact generations.”

As we go through this series, I encourage you to come with an open heart. Listen prayerfully. Ask the Lord, “Where is my place on the wall?” Ask Him, “What gift have You placed in me that can serve others?” Ask Him, “How can my life strengthen this church and advance Your mission?”

Our mission is too great for spectators and too sacred for excuses. God is building His Church, and He is inviting all of us to take our place.

Let us prepare our hearts. Let us come ready. Let us serve across generations. Let us build together.

“All hands. One mission. One Lord. One Church.”

With love and expectation,

Rev. Julius and Marianne Wainaina
