Open Hands, One Mission
Dear ICC Imara Family,
Greetings in the name of our lord Jesus Christ,
We thank God for the successful journey we had last month through the series ‘All Hands, One Mission’. We were reminded that every believer has a place in the work of God and that the mission of the Church moves forward when each person willingly offers their time, gifts, strength, and service.
As we enter the month of July, the Lord is inviting us to take another step.
It is not enough for us to offer our hands to the work while withholding what is in our hands.
God also calls us to honour Him with our resources and to participate in His mission through faithful and sacrificial giving.
Our new series is titled:
‘OPEN HANDS, ONE MISSION’
“Our Hands to the Work, Our Treasure to the Mission”
Throughout this month, we will learn that giving is not merely a financial activity. It is an act of worship, an expression of faith, a discipline of discipleship, and a practical way of partnering with God’s work.
Jesus said:
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”(Matthew 6:21)
Our giving reveals what we value, where we place our trust, and how deeply we are committed to God’s purposes.
In this series, we will study the widow who gave her two small coins, David, who refused to offer God a sacrifice that cost him nothing, the Macedonian believers who gave beyond their ability, and the people of Israel who willingly gave toward the building of the temple.
These stories will remind us that God does not compare our amounts. He looks at our hearts. We may not all have equal resources, but we can all participate. We may not give equal amounts, but we can all give willingly, faithfully, and sacrificially.
This series is about surrender. It is about allowing God to become Lord over every area of our lives, including our finances.
God’s mission must be supported. The gospel must be preached. Children and young people must be discipled. Families must be strengthened. The vulnerable must be cared for. Leaders must be equipped. Missionaries must be sent. Ministry spaces must be developed, and future generations must be prepared.
God provides for this work through the generosity of His people.
I therefore invite every member of the ICC Imara family to approach this month prayerfully.
Ask the Lord:
- “What have You placed in my hands?”
- “What part are You asking me to play?”
- “What would faithful and sacrificial giving look like for me?”
May God deliver us from fear, greed, comparison, and reluctance. May He give us hearts that are grateful and hands that are open.
Let this be our declaration throughout the month:
- Everything we have comes from God.
- Everything we give is returned to God.
- Our hands belong to the work.
- Our treasure belongs to the mission.
“Open hands, one mission.”
May the Lord bless you, your families, and the work of your hands as we continue to build His Church and impact generations together.
